What stick does Chris Tanev use?
Chris Tanev has blossomed into one of the NHL's premier defensive defencemen over his past few seasons in Calgary, known especially for his calming presence and hockey sense on the back end. The Flames' alternate captain will be hoping to put together another strong campaign in Calgary, and is the subject of today's spec check.
Much like his gameplay, Tanev's specs are no-nonsense. He uses a standard P88 mild mid curve with 82 flex - maybe a little whippier than you'd expect from an NHL D-man, but pretty standard for the average guy. Tanev uses an updated red Ultrasonic graphic, but the construction of the stick is actually a previous Supreme model; the more traditional 1S '17.
