What stick does Kenny Agostino use?
Kenny Agostino and his Team USA teammates opened their Olympics with a big win over China this morning. Like the rest of the American team, Agostino took the @ncaaicehockey pathway to reach this point, winning the National Championship at the 2013 Frozen Four with the Yale Bulldogs along the way.
After finishing his time in the Ivy League, Agostino spent time in the systems of the Flames, Blues, Bruins, Canadiens, Devils, and Leafs over the course of just 8 years, before ultimately making the decision to jump over the KHL with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod this season. The move has proved to be a good one so far, with Agostino putting up 40 points in 46 games to start the season and earning his spot on the US Olympic Team in Beijing.
Being a journeyman is perhaps the best way to make sure your sticks end up at HockeyStickMan, and sure enough we have been lucky enough to get in quite a few of Agostino's sticks over the years. As is the case with this QX dressed as an LX Pro, his specs are typically a P88/W88 curve with 85-95 flex, though we have seen him experiment with some tweaks to the pattern in the past.
