The 2018 - 2019 season saw quite a few great hockey sticks come through. It was tough choosing the Top 10 Best Hockey Sticks of 2019, but here is our review on them:
Ranking as #1 on the HockeyStickMan - Best Hockey Stick of All Time list, the Bauer 2N Pro saw some major upgrades making it one of the most advanced sticks on the market. The weight distribution of the stick is as good as they come, with a lower-mid kick-point to get the most out of your shot every time. This combined with the new R-LITE blade is a goalie’s worst nightmare. The 18K Carbon stick wrapped with shiny metallic graphics looks SHARP!
We saw the most pro hockey players using the CCM Jetspeed this past season over any other stick. A complete revamp of the CCM RBZ line, the Jetspeed features the custom kick-point technology, with a more adaptive feel and balance. Not only did the pro players love this stick, but so did our customers! Big expectations now for the CCM Jetspeed FT2 this season!
Competing as the lightest hockey stick in 2019, the Bauer Vapor 1X Lite was a top choice for Pro and NCAA players. The game has transitioned to become more fast-paced, and with less time to load up a shot, the responsiveness of the 1X Lite’s low-kick point allows players to fire a snapshot faster than you can blink. The 397 grams allows for players to feel more of the puck on the blade and less of the stick – up next in the series is the Bauer Vapor FlyLite – anticipated to be even lighter.
Hats off to Warrior on this one. The Warrior Alpha QX dominated as one of the most used sticks in the NHL. It’s lightning quick release and low-kick point delivers one of the best elite level sticks on the market. Don’t believe us – try one…
Another low kick-point stick, the CCM RibCor Trigger 3D utilized the same concave “Rib” shaft design as its predecessors (Trigger 2 and Trigger ASY) to create a light weight and responsive stick. The smooth energy transfer in your shot release is a definite note that customers make when trying this stick for their first time.
One of the few “High kick-point” sticks remaining in elite performance sticks, the Bauer Supreme 2S Pro allows for maximum power for players loading heavy shots. The Supreme line has been a consistent go to for Bauer loving HockeyStickMan customers, and continues to be with the 2S Pro.
The second generation of the True XC9 ACF was released in early 2019. It boasts some pretty big-name NHL players using this twig, a lot of which we have available here at HockeyStickMan. With a light weight feel, improved accuracy, control, and durability, the XC9 ’19 has been a top stick this season.
The CCM SuperTacks AS1 is extremely similar to last years SuperTacks 2.0. This is definitely NOT a bad thing though, as the Tacks 2.0 was the all-time top selling hockey stick at HockeyStickMan. The Sigmatex blade technology by CCM gives this mid-kick stick a durable, and responsive blade, creating a powerful transition between puck contact and release. Will this top the Tacks 2.0 as the most sold hockey stick ever at HockeyStickMan – let’s wait and see.
Topping off light weight sticks at just 380 grams, the Sher-Wood Rekker 365 was a real step up in high-performance composite sticks by Sher-Wood. Used by marquee NHL players, we were able to get our hands on some at HockeyStickMan. The customer reviews were great and created a demand for one of the lightest sticks you will ever feel.
We had to include these guys in here, because in our humble opinion, these sticks rival with all elite composite sticks, and at a fraction of the cost. The pure 18K carbon sticks are pro stock manufactured at 400 grams, and have advanced technology to give the feel and performance of the best hockey sticks on the market. The blacked out look is a key feature that our customers love – having sold hundreds of them already. Check them out for yourself and see what our customers have had to say about them!
