TRUE utilized a high pressure clave molding process which they patented under the title “Axenic Technology.” The advantage of using this manufacturing process is it yields a true one-piece hockey stick and results in very consistent internal walls and shaft shape, a very low void content, pure uninterupted flexural energy transfer and of course an amazing balance and feel. Working alongside the Axenic Technology, Smartply Technology is the “recipe” TRUE implemented for performance and industry leading impact strength. Smartply tech is a laminate design that is used with up to 25 inner layers of unidirectional carbon fiber; the way the fibers are angled and the order of those angles are what control torsional stiffness and protect from impact damage and provide added durability.
The A4.5 has a 100% 3K carbon fiber core wrapped in fiber glass and has a graduated mid-flex profile for increased performance and feel in all game situations. The blade is outfitted with two full length ribs that join the front and rear faces of the blade. These ribs are more efficient at transferring energy and help prevent the foam core from breaking down, losing its stiffness and promoting more pop and feel. TRUE also added a nice non-skid, light sandpaper type of finish to their blade to add grip.
True is amazing! All makes and models, this company might do the impossible, which is break into the high end composite hockey stick market.

HockeyStickMan was able to buy thousands of SHAFTS and blades from ACM Composites, a company that made CCM, Reebok, Bauer, Sher-Wood, Graf, and more for NHL players (many blades we found were marked for some of the best players in the game like Crosby, Hossa, Thornton, etc.)
All blades are made fully of high grade carbon composite material. Designed and intended for pros. There are all different types of blades and none of them are branded.
